I wear my influences on my over-large sleeves: Fleetwood Mac, Amy Winehouse, Prince, and many more. I feel that my songs visit genres between Rock, Soul, Pop, Blues and Jazz, with the influence of Musical Theatre and vaudeville along with elements of Anti-Folk and Americana. I feel like my voice is a notable asset: if it were a wine, it would be a throaty, rich, and slightly acidic brew. My songs are about life, love, heartbreak, and if there's an edge, I'll teeter on it.
I started performing live at 15. I remember that I wore a tie dye T-Shirt - so not much has changed - and played in a dark, damp tent at a festival in Dorset, on an un-mic'd guitar, with bad hair, to an audience of three. So what was next? Well, the only way was up. Join me on my renewed song-writing and performance journey, working towards living a life founded on music.
